yes the rubbermaid flatmop system works good for larger areas but for detail the microfiber flat mop is way better. Easy to clean also

Google KaiVac Finishing Pad.

Forget using a Kentucky style mop to apply finish. Dinosaur technology.

A flat microfiber flat mop is a great way to go.

"Kentucky style"....lol

I don't use mop buckets or string mop heads at all.

For applying finish to large areas I use a modified 18" dust mop head. On smaller areas I use a white towel folded as a mop head. And on the smallest areas with detailing I use a 3M Doodlebug with a white cotton sock pulled over.

I can't give you the best since i've only used one, but i've used Armstrong Excelon. It is available at Lowes and Home Depot for about $20 gallon, which i've gotten about 1500 - 2000 sq out of a gallon. It gives a reasonable shine when applied with a mop, though not a mirror finish. As far as lasting, it looks like i'm getting around 3 months between adding a couple of coats.
