How often, and more importantly, HOW WELL do you clean your’s?
I had a big job to do today.
So, last night, I pulled the blower filters, filled a 5 gallon bucket with very hot water, put 2 cups of industrial degreaser in the water, and one cup of 99% isopropyl alcohol.
I put the filters in, and let them soak overnight. When I got to the shop this morning, I found the water was quite grey. I then scrubbed them with a brush, and put them back in fresh hot water for another 1/2 hour. I then rinsed them under hot running water.
Now, I usually clean my filters every other day, and thought that was good enough.
Boy was I wrong. Doing a long soak was like having a new machine.
We did a 425’ run today, and the suction was incredible.
I’m going to run this system once a week. I guess it’s a filter ‘deep clean’.
Try it, you’ll be very surprised how well it works.
Just food for thought.
