Asian Squat

This one stretch exercise will benefit the entire body especially the back. Do these everyday and begin to experience back pain relief, better motility, agility, relief from body stiffness….a host of health benefits.

If you can’t do Asian squat just yet, grab a door jam with both hands and go down slowly. Work on it. You’ll get after a few days or week or two. Also stand at a door jam or wall, back facing the wall or door jam, slowly go down.

Practice every day for a few minutes and work up the time.
Very relaxing.
After a while you feel and look better guaranteed. Well maybe not look better for some of you but you feel better for sure.

Squatting and bending to look for venomous snakes in rock crevices and to turn over rocks gives me some good exercise, but with the cold weather arriving, I need to keep in shape till April.

This looks ideal.

put blocks and tabs under all your furniture in the morning and take them out at night. Do this for the winter and you will be ready to tackle the venomous snakes without issue.

Seriously guys….this one stretch done every day and before bed does wonders to the body. Decompresses the spine, ankles, legs, knees and a lot more. Try it. If you can’t go down, just a little at a time, before long you’ll be amazed of the newly refound flexibility.

I couldn’t do it well at all a couple years ago. Kept it up. Today, no problems.

Remember to tighten the core when going back up…and go back up slowly.

For the everyday cleaner, it will do you well.

I've been doing a morning routine that involves lots of squats, my afternoon routine involves using a slant board along with a whole bunch of other exercises that resemble Tai Chi blended with military calisthenics, along with kettle and dumbbells.

While the coffee percolates, I get my heart pumping, my joints lubed and the decades of carpet cleaning sins somewhat corrected...

Now that all my mountains are covered in snow, it's impossible to get on a bike to burn the 10,000 calories a week I was doing most of the year.

I'm taking off for 2 weeks in January to go to warmer climates to burn away some of those holiday pounds

I have a bit less than perfect posture here, but happiness has to count for something :]

One of my biggest motivators to get healthy ( again) was my inability to get up off the floor with style and grace.

I was so weak and fat that I had to grab furniture or push off of my knee to get up off the floor and you all know how much time WE spend on floors.

It was embarrassing.

Not sure why the word Asian is used to describe this exercise but none the less, if you can't do squats repetitively, if you can't touch your toes or do some push ups or walk/ hike for 10 miles, please consider making 2026 the year you get healthy, again.

Burn more calories than you eat.

Don't eat wasted calories
Keep red meat to a minimum
Limit processed food, severely
Kick the sugar and booze.
Consider the Mediterranean diet..

and if you want to transform your mind and not just your body, remove hate and anger from your life, don't obsess on yesterday or tomorrow, find and or stay true to your purpose, and love thy neighbor.


You'll lose "friends" doing so as misery loves company, but the enlightenment, joy, hope and love that takes their place is incredible.
