Carpet dying/color repair

Back when my company did lots and lots of apartments we did lots and lots of dyeing. Complete dyes and spot dyes. Of course, after moving to the higher end residential market that changed.

There is still a fair amount of spot dyeing in residential but it is rarely called in because most homeowners don't know that it can be done. I found that by having a spot dye kit on the truck we were able to add on spot dye jobs on a regular basis.

I am curious, who here still does dye work and how often does it come up for you?

I'm going to start offering it thanks to the kind help from Tom Cermak.

But with less and less nylon carpet, do you think we'll be seeing less bleach spots?

I have just started my business and need to know how to do spot dies. Anyone know where I find some info? Pictures coupled with a process itemization would be great.

I do it but not much for the same reason Ofer said. Plenty of info on the net and from American Dyers whatever they're called.
