Out of curiosity I was was doing some research for the patent # of the holed drapery cleaning wand made by Kleenrite...

I found this one for the cleaning system:

I believe the next one was for their upholstery tool:

The next is for the upholstery/drapery cleaning tool that has scads of holes in it... 'a plurality' as the patent says:

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Pars ... AND+knight

Did you notice this guys name came up on all of those?...Hachtmann; William R. (Santa Barbara, CA)
So Mr Hachtmann, Robert D...who was the co-inventor of the holed uph/drapery tool...has some interesting other inventions...and you will NEVER guess WHO they are with...

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Pars ... +Hachtmann

http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Pars ... AND+Harris

So any claims of certain individuals about Not Knowing the Prior Art would be quite absurd.

Industrious individuals that apply for and receive patents on every conceivable or inconceivable ideas stand to make their money on lawsuits of unsuspecting small manufacturers out there. (We know that from a small, round piece of teflon that certain individuals we know attempted to make things easier for us CC's). If you watched Shark Tank last night, Mark Cuban blasted a guy for his "patenting" a simple clothing or apparel vest design that basically had "holes" for wiring your electronic devices with headphones. He makes money off the idea itself, but he also made $$$$$$ by suing other unsuspecting companies that used the idea without his licence. Mark basically called the guy an asshole.

So........if you CC'ers out there come up with a novel idea and want to market it, you had better do a thorough patent search. The patents up top do cover a wide range of CC tools that we use or would like to have.
