I pressure wash mine 4-5 times a year

I follow the Bob Valter school of blower cleaning.
while the machine is running, run "clean" water thru the blower.
!!!CAUTION!!!..add it SLOWLY, don't just dump a gallon in all at once, or you'll break something on the blower

you'll see all kinds of brown mudgunk come out

then let it run for several minutes to dry out.
a shot of lube like WD-40 or equiv when dry

WAIT A MINUTE!!
note, if your blower exhaust goes to any heat exchangers, DON'T use the Bob V school of blower cleanin.
cause you'll fill 'em with gook if you do

Suck 1 cup of Kerosene in to the blower, hold hand over inlet until blower exhaust stops spittin out white smoke... it will suck like a brand new blower.

a dirty blower will suck better actually. The film will close up the tolerances and help to seal it
