Hello everyone, so who is coming to connections ? I haven't been in a few years and was thinking about it. I have heard the educational aspect of Connections has got really weak over the years and is not worth the $400 . What say you, is it work the money to attend all the programs or will you skip it and just attend the trade show and party for a few days.

With airfare $460, hotel, rental car and registration it's $1500. Worth it or not ?

Not worth more than $500 in my opinion. Not considering the loss of income.
For me the value is in time with friends and in promoting MB.

I think MF would be better for any members here if you consider how up this crowd is on the latest in tools and marketing tricks

If you're new to the industry or have been out of the loop long enough to find information that's new to you, yet astute enough to recognize and put aside the slant in the presentations it would probably be worth the expense. Otherwise it gets harder to justify spending the time it takes to glean a couple of nuggets from the sales pitches.

There are a few presentations and presenters on this program I'd pay to listen to, but I'd also like a better cost/value ratio.

I've always enjoyed connections.
But in recent years they have made it earlier and earlier in Sept.
9-1 is opening day of archery deer season for me, coho derby also that same month.

I'd like to go this year, it has been a couple.

But I think I'll end up passing.

Sadly each year they get worse and worse. Hardly worth the money they charge. The Hilton is old, the venue is always laid out the same, and the contect is pretty much the same. I haven't gone to the Vegas one in 3 years.
If they change the venue I would certainly attend.

I 100% agree with all and would never pay for the convention, but it is Vegas with a tax deduction so I will be there. Still undecided about staying at the dumpy Hilton. It is convenient but can stay nicer for far less money or much nicer for the same or a little more.

Last year I think I saw Mikey all of 5 minutes over by JonDon's booth I beleive, plus John's party that had about 50 people at. I am mostly at blackjack or poker tables and doing my/our own thing outside of an hour or 2 a day at the booths.

Mikey's kid and I have the same disgusting habit so we actually spent more time together. By then I will not be a smoker.

Not going and have never gone. I would just spend to much and it's a complete waist for me personally. Only a 4hr drive from where I'm at also. But when I add the gas, cost of convention, gambling, eating, hotel, etc... It just makes no sense at all fiscally for me. Only been to Vegas twice in my 43 years and both for weddings. Not really my thing. Rather buy toys, tools and go on surf and snowboard vacations personally.

we go to the trade show every year and treat the rest of the time as vacation

have never went to educational part of it

with the addition of the flood house and rug pit washing, it has gotten a little better

it is nice to talk to a few of the suppliers we see once a year

with MF in Vegas, it might be the better place to be in Feb.
