That cover was a bear to pull off. I was hoping I could slap it back together after pulling out the screw, but unfortunately the gear has a major flat spot and won’t spin anymore. So,I guess I’ll just wait for my new parts to come.

These gears are a royal pain in the ass to pull. Going to try my gear puller next and try to remove them without going postal. I hate to say it, but I’m looking forward to the Mytee release of the belt drive version.

Snap rings pulled. Everything turns freely. Guess I’ll hit it with PB Blaster and see if it comes off.

Maybe its time to also replace the brushes. See the chunk of plastic missing out of the middle?

How do I remove this gear? I removed the snap rings, turned it, put force on it with flathead screwdrivers, nothing is working. Am I going to need to dremel all the damn gears off?

you have to remove the inner side plate out and unscrew the smaller gear axles from the back side.

OMG. Ok thanks Mike. Looks like im breaking out the Dremel. The screws to take the cover have stripped heads. I’m in destroy mode.
