Keep it over there for a while longer would you please. We just took a nice drive in country with the Jeep saying the winter could be here soon. We are not looking forward to it!

Kevin,

It started spitting snow here around 7:30pm... weatherman says 8-10 inches, 40 mph gusts, supposed to snow for about 20 hours. Gound isn't frozen yet. Plow guys are going to dig everyones yard up good with this one. Who would have thought a N'orester before Halloween? 2 1/2 weeks ago we hit 80. Gotta love global warming :p

1993 We got the same type of snowfall just before Halloween. I remember running from bar to bar on snowmobiles driving right down the roads with them. Over 2 feet of snow on the roads. It was the only way to get around and it was a blast. Today, I would be crabbing up a storm that I had to get out to shovel the drive and walks so the vans could be ready if needed. Growing up and trying to be a responsible person sure can suck!

As I am thinking about it, I need to go dig the snowplow for the pickup out of the weeds and make sure it is ready.....

Better to do it in the warmth than in the stinking cold!

Lets see 45 in the truck atleast... prolly 5 to 6 in the spreader and about 5 in the plow for good measure. Yeah, but people usually don't heckle over price when it comes to snowplowing. I had one account during a big storm once I could make close to $500/hr. 50 drives next to eachother in one big association. 25 dollars a drive. With small to moderate snows.. would take take about 2.5 hrs. Add in a blizzard clause for good measure.. was fine if it was just that account but throw in 20 other houses and 2 commercial lots.. too much for a one truck guy. I'm happy with fewer accounts these day. Stuff better stay away.. haven't got my new blade on the new truck.

Crikey, you had me stumped then, I thought maybe you were going to grow spuds, (potatoes).

Then I read down further.

Never seen snow in Cairns. shiteatinggrin

But last week, we did get 16 inches of rain in 48 hours.

The wet season is due to start soon, then the cyclones.

These wings are not powered. They are removable though.
