What is everyone's favorite process?

1. Prespray
2. Agitate
3. Rinse (straight water, detergent or rinsing agent?)

Or other?

Most....

yep

and that's why it's so easy to kill the competition in this industry.

pre vacuum, offer a free inspection of the home owner's vac (did one today)

take your time, lots of dry strokes and a down draft fan.

have a info packed website

send out friendly workers

how hard is that?

Not that you asked, but here it is:

Pre qualify.
Under promise
Over deliver.
Do a good job, don't get too hyped about the technical fluff. It really does not matter that much.
And spend more time with the clients.

And if you actually like them and it shows- you'll do fine.

We prevac but our clients expect it.

I think it's where you're at in the market, if I we offering budget cleaning I would not prevac since it's not built into the price. Is it needed? It's certainly going to remove more soil dry than wet. I think at the very least I'd hit the traffic areas, the other areas are probably more dust than soil.

To each his own, if you chose to be a hack who am I to complain! :p

I agree. I look at it as it only makes me do a better job in the long run. I want to do the best possible job every time.

best cleaning is to prevac (not just give it lip service), prespray, agitate, and rinse
So I don't miss some work, I will drop my service to what the other guys provide, ie no vacuuming, no agitation, and lower the price for them.
They get what they pay for.

We Precondition the customer,
Vacuum or at least tell the client to do it if it’s low end work.
T-A-C-Tfully clean carpet with high flow and use Procyon as a Rinse.
When we leave both the client and us are happy.
