Nylon stockings are fine for over the blower filters where they stay primarily dry and catch the occasional lint glob from entering your blower but way too restrictive to use as a inline filtering material.

What?! It's so easy to just toss them! I probably could just clean them out but I don't wanna! :shifty:
Same here. It has made one of my least favorite parts of carpet cleaning (cleaning out filter....there's $hit and piss in there!) and made it easy. Add the additional airflow and it is an absolute must have for any Truckmount.

Will the devastator decrease suction compared to just using the waste tank basket type filter?

Also, if using a dev I wouldn't use the basket, right?

yeah, too small.

the Dev is huge and holds lots before you see a reduction in airflow..

That looks like it is the old style Dev Filter like the one I have. My lid is cracked but still works good. I'll be buying the new Stainless Steel one soon

Are you guys saying the Stainless one moves more air than the old green style like the one in Mikeys Pic?

The panty hose had to be replaced for me between every job, but the strainers get sprayed down between every job dumped at the end of the day and replaced weekly.
I love my devpro dearly

I'm thinking of switching to a SS filter from a Devastator. If anyone wants to make an offer on my Devastator, feel free. Not a fan of cleaning out the socks.

Thank you everyone.

We are working very hard on the new wand....and even though the wand may look very simular we believe we will be succesful in performance gains over a standard wand.

Keep you all posted

Tom, Thats great. I am still loving the swivel wand. Please let me know when you have the new design ready. I can't wait to get my hands on one!

You gotta clean out something the paint liners with a Bristor dust downer is awesome. That said I use bags with my SS filter. I like the setup of the SS filter to.
