I have NEVER tried it but some of the franchisors use this system for texting specials to customers.

Basically when someone calls in they hear a message press 1 for a live operator or 2 to receive xyz text alert special. The system then collects the info and you can send out text alerts in future.

Generally i hate the idea of texting specials BUT if people opt in... can be pretty inexpensive.

My question is would you, do you lose calls though going to a message before a live operator?
That is my only worry and have no experience in call center so really do not know the data.

I don't know what I think about it. I have a 30 minute call scheduled for next Monday to "review" a new Quickbooks Pro program they are offering that is something like ServiceMonster. In their ads, they make a big deal about the ability it gives us to use QuickBooks to send text messages to our customers.

Text messages annoy me.

I bet they will my customers.

if they opt in that's one thing, im guessing most wont. Not a fan of receiving marketing text's.
