Yes Larry

Same model....But mine is green....I bought it from Interlink...It was a DEMO..

I would guess it has 100 hrs on it now...My RX 20's are gathering DUST....

The men LOVE the 175's...They cant believe the job they do...It makes STEAMING

a Simple rinse Process...They don't has to pre- spot with a hand brush anymore....

THIS IS "OLD SCHOOL" cleaning.....Some things Can't be IMPROVED on.."AGGITATION"

Pre scrubbing with a well formulated 175 is THE single biggest, MOST Important thing YOU can do to improve YOUR company if you are not already doing so.

if you are cleaning a home that has pets then I don't see how you would even begin to get the pet hair out without some type of pre scrub

Completely correct...We started our company in a recession.... based on agitation...I use an OP machine, also have a old Matador, followed by extraction with a Porty...and beat out a large TM company for a lucrative PM account. Can't imagine how any extraction only company could do an acceptable job on "trashed" rental carpet without pre-scrubbing. Most trashed carpets are savable if you prescrub....no one method can compete.

any heavier than this 1.5 HP unit and your techs wont use it

and with a shampoo brush that machine will kick some serious arse.

that was the issue I was having but I own several machines and only ride with my mercury from about 1990 cast iron 125-150lbs. That is why I bought a rotovac 360, RX-20, 2 rotovacs and none touch my old 175. Getting employees to properly use, I don't know

I lifted a Cimex the other day...that was heavy.
What maybe 150? Anyone know?
It was a lot more than my old ass advance 175

With a good scrub head, most machines will work well.
That's what's great about the adjustable glide scrubber.

BINGO!!

I notice that even after I vacuum, there is ALWAYS pet hair left behind, I don't care what brand vacuum you use, they all suck ass. No way in the world will a rotating brush and a wimpy single stage motor pull out the same amount of crud a 175 will. The red pad is much more aggressive than a vac brush, plus having 100+ LBS weighing in doesn't hurt either. Even at that, I always vac first, then run the 175 with red pad. The red pad acts like a magnet to the pet hair, it just clings to it. No way will I ever go without a 175, I don't know how some guys do. Plus they're very versatile, you can upsell other services. I just cleaned a place on Sunday, and the guy liked the job so much, he wants me to come back in a month or two to buff his hardwood and vinyl floors. Try that with your RX-20 or Rotovac.

No, can't say I do. I have a brush for tile, but not one for carpet.

I've heard from several guys that the brush works great, I might get one eventually, but I have so many red pads, I figure I'll just use them. I've never had a problem with the red pad on residential. In fact, most of my work IS residential, and no complaints to date. But the red pads do work great on cgd.

Also, I've heard the brushes tend to distort the carpet fibers.....any truth to that? I used to own a Rotovac with the brushes, and can't say I ever noticed any distortion, but they were rather soft bristles, and the Rotovac weighed less than half of what my 175 does.
