Do you use a scent in your prespray and rinse?

Do many of you guys rely on products with strong perfumes in them? Do you think it affects the way your customers view your cleaning abilities?

I use whatever pre-spray is appropriate for the job, and ad 5 oz of deliminate to my 5 quart hydroforce at 1-8.

I used to add apple air or the lemon deo by bridgepoint to my rinse agent, but I got lazy about it and people still say the house smells great when I'm done. BTW anybody notice that bridgepoint's lemon deo (lemon verson of the apple air) smells more like bubble gum than lemon?

Marty,
the prespray we have been using for years as a citrus smell to it. I do have a lot of customers comment on the "clean" smell. Ijustt think it smells like money.

Not sure if it is a selling point, but as long as they like the smell it can't hurt.

Nothing. Residential customers are used to not smell anything, that's what they like and so do I . I never liked the idea of adding to the carpet chems that are not needed. Why add more junk after we have busted our butts to leave it as clean and free of chemicals residue as possible?

We add a few oz of Citrus Solv to the prespray. they seem to love it

Spice air (on occasion) we will run with the rinse.

perception is 80% of the game

"if it smells clean, it is clean"

I wish Clean-it wasn't so damn foamy.
Cause it's by far one of the most pleasant scented chems I've ever used.

yes, pleasant fragrance makes a difference to "most" folks "perception factor"

If you think Superclean and CleanIt has the same scent you have fried more than your lungs with the 1300.
