How about this? The customer says don't worry I've already vacuumed and they did a less than satisfactory job. You explain that prevac is part of the routine, but they're still offended.
I have a lot of customers that vacuum before I arrive. Often I am 5-10 minutes early and I can hear the sound of the vacuum from outside the door. I don't always prevac but more and more I am leaning that way. I used to think that I would offend someone by inferring their vacuuming wasn't as good as mine. Just let them know that vacuuming once is good, vacuuming twice is better. Not that they haven't a good job. Ironically, in the shop, I wouldn't even think of cleaning a rug before vacuuming and dusting. How about this? True. But that’s why I don’t ask carpet cleaners about carpet cleaning. We have to trust the science behind cleaning that has been tested by chemist and scientists. Example: WoolSafe organization. I’ve personally met the scientists that test.I used to say that when i used HOST. Add water to dirt and you get Mud.
So your saying that the soil the vacuum gets out would turn to mud but the soil the vacuum cant get out doesnt turn to mud?
As Ive always said, call 50 different carpet cleaners and you will get 50 different prices and 50 different results because they will have 50 different opinions on how to do the job properly.
Nobody is right. Nobody is wrong.
Fvck em.How about this? The customer says don't worry I've already vacuumed and they did a less than satisfactory job. You explain that prevac is part of the routine, but they're still offended.
That is Ok Ma'am I like to prevac so that I can look over the carpet for any spots before i use precondtioner so that I won't set them. How about this? Now you’re talking. Pro vacso heres the thing. Ive been thinking about this. Im old school and absolutely HATE change.
BUT over the years I have learned to be open minded. So I have did a little research and decided to buy a ProForce 15XP 1500XP Dual Motor Hepa Vacuum.
Who says an old dog cant learn new tricks?
Hey, don’t try to make sense out of it! He’s lying to the lady so he don’t offendThis.
But how would you "set" a spot by not pre treating it?
You should have complimented his Drywall.I had a customer answer his door with a huge handgun in the front of his pants to show me he can blow my head off if I steal his junk. When he told me he already vacuumed, I wasn’t gonna disagree, even though there was tons of dog hair still in the carpet, lol
Huh?You should have complimented his Drywall.
Plus you'll get this job again and the referrals from it!They probably made more than me on that day. Was just re-starting and was glad to pick up an account. Was glad to have a job to do.
That was a Larry jabHuh?
That's exactly what I said on Friday. The client really liked that. That is Ok Ma'am I like to prevac so that I can look over the carpet for any spots before i use precondtioner
Since the other ones not here to say it, #Pissy! Is there a chance in hell that you guys let this tiring, old, self congratulatory, cud like chewing pre-vac subject a rest? Or is it pre-vac Monday?
And to sum it up: The fact that one pre-vacuums will:
Hell. Its a small price to pay
- Quadruple your referrals.
- Immediately parachute you to the top of the carpet cleaning heap. Are we talking MB certified "Guru" level?
- Triple your income.
- Make you 100% even more chick dig-able.

That's pretty offensive.I don’t think I’ve ever worried about being offensive. I vacuum because I’m better at it than my customers
I've got a couple that should come out.I would like to pull some of your teeth out with a pliers
Thank you, but, NO. I practice excellent oral hygiene....I would like to pull some of your teeth out with a pliers
I’m not even glorified, I’m just plain.Carpet cleaners again over thinking this.
As if you have the IQ of a rocket scientist.
Glorified janitors all!
