Got a good customer who is covered in bites. No sign of fleas or bed bugs so he is guessing Dust Mites.

No pets but a friend brought him some flowers recently and all hell broke lose. He is guessing they came in with the flowers due to the sudden break out.

What can I do to help him out besides clean all the carpet and uph?

I doubt its from dust mites, unless they are allergic to them. Dust mites live off dead skin, he can wash all his bedding if he thinks it's dust mites.

Maybe there was something else in the flowers????

Get rid of the Flowers. This may be an allergic reaction to them.

If so I would lean towards the how to remove flower pollination from an area section of the board......

Got a BackPack Vac with a new filter?

Dust mites don't bite humans they just sluff off dander and feces which humans may be allergic to. It's something else.

Bed bugs? An adult bedbug measures only about one fifth of an inch (0.5 cm) in length. Bedbugs tend to stay within 10 -20 feet of beds and seating areas. Why? That want blood! It's their food.

Surely the guy isn't stupid, so if you smarten up a bit and tell him to call his local pest control company, he'll probably believe you.

Even you ...

He ruled out bed bugs and fleas when his magnifying glass didn't show a thing for over a week of searching.
Bites all over his neck back and especially his belt line area

Well, one thing is for certain, there are two people who can possibly help him. A doctor or a pest control specialist.

A carpet cleaner?

Nah ...

I agree that it would not be dust mites. They don't bite humans, just eat the dead skin and then crap out allergens.
Bites around the belt line make me think chiggers. Has he been walking in the weeds or the woods?

Send him to a dermatologist. Could be scabies and if it is, it's highly contagious. Had a roommate in college bring them home - was a month battle to get rid of them.

While he did have lots of small red marks, I was not convinced they were bites. Looked more like a rash. But he swore he could feel each bite take place.

No sign of bugs anywhere.

I highly suggested he go to a doctor.
I think so many people can get enough answers off of Google note a days that they don't feel it is worth going to a doctor for minor stuff like this. He is self employed so cost is a factor I'm sure..

I would have taken pics of his bites but Eckman's comment kept ringing in my head
