Encap Juice Advice

I've done a bit of encap with the Cimex in the past with decent results. Always used DS2 and took the time to do a good job, though spills wicking actually seemed much worse than HWE, which is counter to what everyone claims.

Anyway, I've got some good sized commercial coming up and am planing on dusting off the Cimex (I mean that literally because I haven't touched it in over a year since I got burned out on the hit-or-miss results), and wondered if I should try some different chems.

I was going to order some Awesome Encap, but realized I'm going to be at Interlink for service anyway, and they claim pretty strongly that Encapuclean DS out performs everything out there. Any strong feelings one way or the other?

"Awesome" is good.

As far Encapuclean Green DS it cleans just as well and has a fresh clean smell. It should correct all your resoiling problems. We buy it from the Pemberton's 4 cases at a time. In fact I have an order arriving Tuesday.

Try a gallon and see what you think.

They all work, some just need less ounces per gallon to get the job done, or the dirt hidden. DS2 works great at 4 ounces per, I can swear by that.


Try pre spraying about 100 feet ahead of yourself with the same product with a pump up or multi, we find dwell time helps speed everything up.

Also try adding an ounce or three of ammonia to every gallon for extra oompf and to get the nosy janitor out of the room.

The good ones do all deliver similar results. Releasit, Vacaway products, Padcap pro are all products we have used extensively and liked.

DS2 rocks, we do a lot of cimexing and order it by the 55 gallon drum. Tried some vacaway stuff and for us it didn't perform as well as DS2.

We have not had any issues with resoiling, but knowing when HWE is needed keeps this from being a problem.

DS2 sucks unless it's dark carpet no one can see dirt on anyways. Go with Encap 02 and see the real difference.

Add a dash of citrus solv with it at 20oz of 02 per 2 gallons for commercial. Best results.

I guess I'm officially to the point where I've forgotten more than I remember about carpet cleaning. Your comment reminded me that years ago I use to add ammonia to my pre-spray. I'd completely forgotten about that.

Do you do that on a regular basis Mikey? Is it because it does give to a boost in cleaning power? Do you know why it does?

I can't remember why I originally started to add it into the pre-spray and I can't remember why I stopped doing it.

I am not a big encap user but I used some encapuclean with Maxim from Bridgepoint. Did about 3000 sqft about 3 months ago with the 15 inch Brush Pro and it still looks good.

other than adding Citra Solve to the pre spray, which Im supposing leaves a residue and fooks up the polymer action.

The compouind actually does absorb a lot of "stuff".

@WillS has photos of the stuff before and after it's been picked up and you can really see how it's gathered soil..

I should think the encap would loosen the soil, the sawdust absorbs it back and the agitation gathers it all up, nearly dry. Noice!
