Nope. Gave my life to Jesus when I was nine. Then renewed my profession of faith in front of my church just a few years ago. Got dunked again also.

Trip, charge your normal commercial rate. Mine is about half of residential rate, so If asked tell them “In a home this would be (double).”
Then tithe or gift your earnings as you see fit.

I have no problem asking for my rate. Funny thing is, I got this job from another cleaner who was to nervous to charge them.
I just wanted my fellow lurkers to realize that there is no reason to be scared of telling someone what you charge.

Your charge will be much less than replacing the carpets or having in house people do it. They pay less for in house but the cleaning is not even close to your service.You can give them longevity for the carpets. I had a local church that their man used Dawn to spot clean and raved how great it was. Then I truckmount cleaned and found out the truth. Their expert quit so now I can clean as needed with fewer problems. Explain the long term savings using your services. Pay a little now or a LOT latter and the down time for replacement. jz

They probably have another 10-15 thousand sqft. I’m going to offer a 20% discount on that. If they’ll agree to a maintenance plan, I’ll do 35%. Right now they are at full retail.

We just cleaned a BIG church Sanctuary (12,500 sq. ft.) a few weeks ago. We used HWE and ran dual wands. We charged .17 a square foot.
It was not our church, but we also clean our church for the same price.
Let's not forget that your overhead has a lot to do with what you need to charge for your work. Our overhead is very low.

If you and the customer agree on a price and you provide top-notch service what’s conscious got to do with it? Unless you go around back and take a dump the shrubs.

Once you WAKE UP to the FACT that a church is a BUSINESS, and not some holy shrine, you can charge what you feel is a decent price to feed your family. Isn't that what the Almighty wants?

I see churches as a huge place to advertise my abilities. I charge 1/2 my normal rate and ask for a mention in the weekly bulletin. Were else can you impress hundreds of people for 2-4 hrs of work.
Charge what you want and......give it back on sunday!
