anyone have any suggestions on a power scrubber, either corded or cordless on a pole for encapping large multiple staircases in apartment buildings where you may have up to 3 staircases 4 stories high.
thats what I was thinking but I've never used 1?Maybe one of those little Orek oscillators?
Because they can't be reached with a truck mount. Why are you wanting to buff stairs?
Ron, it’s the only choice.... and ALWAYS scrub from the lower stair ... trust me on this one..I was thinking about the oreck but still seems a little awkward. I don't know if I want to clean 150 stairs with it. I have a handheld orbital car polisher that seems to have enough power but I can already feel my back aching just thinking about it.
One hand on the top handle, one hand about 1/2 way down the shaft....Ron, it’s the only choice.... and ALWAYS scrub from the lower stair ... trust me on this one..
I’ve watched my help trying to work top down...
Yes, it’s a back saver...
I’m sure you can find one on Van Craig’s list....
Theres a shop down here that sells them and pads as well. Ill have to take a look. One hand on the top handle, one hand about 1/2 way down the shaft....
It’s works very well....
For stairs, they can’t be beat... DON’T go with the homeowner model... shorter cord (30’), and a smaller motor...the professional model has a 50’ cord, and larger motor. And, on startup, ALWAYS HAVE THE UNIT LIFTED UP.... will extend motor life by triple....Theres a shop down here that sells them and pads as well. Ill have to take a look.

Why are you asking an Encap “cleaner” to reason? Why are you wanting to buff stairs?
We'll ask you your opinion when we want to polish a pig.Why are you asking an Encap “cleaner” to reason?
These are condo buildings not houses. They build them without considering how the carpets are to be cleaned. Very limited access, sometimes 500-600 ft hose runs if they are accessible at all. Often there are no janitorial rooms, sinks or bathrooms. You have to bring your own cleaning solutions pre mixed. You can either say no because my truck mount can't reach or find another way. Do you want the $2500 or not? STI'S.It must be those big mountains up there. The houses are probably allot further away from their vans than we’re familiar with down here in the sticks
No kidding.I haven’t
No sarcasm in that post at all, eh Dan?that doesn't look painful at all..![]()
Several good ideas above for encapping stairs. The Oreck Orbiter is good for stairs. A small rotary/175 can also be used. The Orbot Micro is another good option.

Another simple approach is to use a Drill Driver attached to a drill or an angle grinder.
Shouldn’t that end with ‘pigs turd’?We'll ask you your opinion when we want to polish a pig.
I didn't want to offend those southern sensitivities.Shouldn’t that end with ‘pigs turd’?
I’ve been on gin & tonics since 3...I didn't want to offend those southern sensitivities.
