@Mike Draper are you using a ramp or a helper to get it in the back of your box truck?

I use a ramp... Not trying to tweak my back by trying to lift it in and out of the van.

Like my buffer I would tilt it back grab it by the tank opening and the front of the bottom. Helpers just get in the way.

Cant do that with the driver set up on this unit...nothing to grab that won't destroy your fingers out front.

all I know is I love that Vario 2. easier to use than the 175, scrubs better and uses very little chemical. It is so easy to push to the front door and effortlessly manuevers around the home. 175 is going up for sale.

My ramp is just a piece of plywood about 3.5 ft long and just wide enough to fit the wheels. I only have it on the truck when I have the Vario on so it just gets shoved in beside it. I don't have room in my truck to leave it on all the time.

Then there should be a handle attached out front. I think my 15 in cimex has that.

I've been running ultra pack through it as a pre-spray. Using a beige pad with horse hair or something. its a popular pad, but cant think of the company name. i'l do a thread on some results...

none, I've been wathcing carefully. on 1 job I was a little concerned so I used white pad. No negative affects.

Usually you can hoist it by grabbing the front of the machine with your right hand wrapping your fingers under the bottom of the pad driver (easier to do if the bonnet is still attached) and holding the back of the handle where the handle locking lever is located with your left hand. It's a little awkward to lift the machine like that, but it's doable. But my preferred option is to use a ramp (I'm old and lazy).

This aluminum ramp is AWESOME. I use it personally and love it. It is lightweight and has a monstrous tread grip.
