Robert Mann was exonerated from the false notion, that some unscrupulously promulgated, that he participated in something illegal when facilitating rug restoration for his client’s in Turkey. The true story is found on page 19 of HALI issue 173. There was a baseless rumor being passed around that obviously was contrary to the facts of the circumstance. This underscores that some have a negative agenda and will attempt to discredit people by inventing fictitious dramas.

Not sure about the back story on the rumor narrative Tom, but we have also been waiting and waiting on a decision regarding our license applies for many months ago. We have also gotten politicians involved and it is very frustrating as like those that Robert Mann sent, these are rugs that have been in the US for in some cases generations. We have been sending 100-150 rugs a year overseas for extensive restoration for over a decade. Now the only ones we can send or get back are non- persian rugs, which are the minority of those we send. Fortunately our customers for the most part are very understanding, as well as equally frustrated with the bureaucrats.
