The benefits of being a Multi Surface Service company
- Being able to clean all the flooring types opens up a much larger potential client base.
- Carpet is very seasonal due to drying and soiling concerns, unlike hard surfaces.
- Low to no competition, clients will spread the word about your company.
- Job average will be MUCH higher.
Realities of offering Multi-Surfaces
- Must have strong ID skills, unlike carpet.
- More equipment needed and space in your van to store it.
- Projects are much larger, you may need help.
- Your communication skills may need to improve.
- As will your handyman skills
To clean wood, vinyl sheet/tile/plank, ceramic and stone you’ll need the following:
- Truckmount or portable
- CRB
- OP/175 and various bonnets and pads
- Miscellaneous hand brushes
- Flat Mops and various pads
- Hard Surface wand
- Various chemistry
- Repair tools (regrout, caulking, wood repair, stone scratch/cracks)
