I think we had a section of sol. hose freeze. It's been in the house for days and still can't get anything to flow through it. Is that something that happens after a hose has froze? The hose looks perfect.

Is the hose garbage now? Will new quick connects fix it?

Have you unscrewed the qc's? Freezing a hose doesn't hurt it, however freezing a hose full of water CAN hurt it. Drain your hoses as you put them up during freezing weather.

Quick couplers do wear out in several respects. Trash builds up in them. O-rings deteriorate. The mating surfaces wear down causing a gradual reduction in flow.

Um, I have frozen hose a few times, even the same hose and just had to thaw it out for it to work good as new.

Just take it inside and put it in the tub and cover the hose with hot water. Should be good in an hour or two. just don't bend it back and forth much and you will be okay.

So Lee,
Do you think new connects will fix it? Or is it garbage? Wasn't even that cold, night before it stopped working.

One day it works - next day it doesn't.

plug it in to your TM, put an open QD on the other end (a mating QD no tool attached)
and turn on your pump..see if gunk comes out

if this steel braid solution line, I'd be very cautious of it.
I might still use it, but never again inside a home or office

yea, it's been in the house for days. I tried using it(hose), didn't work.

Guess I'll try some new quick connects, just seemed odd all of a sudden doesn't work.

Had this happen last week. Hose worked fine, went to next job and it stopped working. It ended up being the female QC.
