There are lots of garage built units out there, many outlasting premium big name units. Mine would be classified as garage built although it was built by professionals in the industry for many years. Mine was designed with easy replacement of components in mind. Still on the original pump and blower and had the Honda engine rebuilt at 5000 hours. Replaced the lg heater a couple of years ago. Its hot and powerful and reliable.

Is there really that much difference in a company that builds TMs on their property in an outbuilding behind their house and another that simply rents a warehouse in an industrial park?

of course the really big name companies have huge facilities, but to pay for those they like to rape you on proprietary parts and difficult repairs

The big guys have the parts when you need them and can service them when you need it.

The little guys might not even answer the phone or can close up without notice.

One isn't necessarily better than the other just depends on your needs.

true, if you talking about the ones built in texas where you cant get a hold of dude for 3 months then that sucks for anyone who bought one.

Les answers every time I call and there is no parts needed from Judson because everything is available auto parts store or worst case amazon prime

I wouldn't consider Judson a garage build but I really don't know their operation.

Do people really buy a propane unit, twice?
I think thats the point you generally dont have to, they are long life units compared to HX.
I'd like a little more space in the van but not at the expense of waiting weeks for a part to ship from the US and then driving 9hrs to the agent..

a lot of things can easily go wrong on assembly lines... smaller shops can be better but only as good as the builder is.

tons of people try and be TM builders because they own a welder and a garage but some are a lot better than others.

Those facilities are huge but you dont need all that to build a bullet proof machine that sucks and squirts water

Had white magic & hydramaster and now a simple Cobb 2045 never lets me down simple like me and water temp atm over 240 pegs out the gauge and a heat exchange. What more do I need it just keeps ticken ha ha . Bigger is better but not for me. I don't need a big name company Larry Cobb has what I need. 37 yrs and cleaning the ladies are happy so whats left the phone keeps ringing. jz.

I’m going to put the factory propane kit on my kubota when I build a new truck. Everything will be propane, including the new box truck. My propane here is dirt cheap though.
