So why do TM's have to be so complicated?
All I see in the big makers are expensive proprietary parts

What most seem to forget is most massive companies had humble beginnings, as they become successful you stop paying just for the product and start paying for the hype.

Proprietary...

Where did the garage companies find that big word that’s all over these forums?

Its the term you will find used if your unfortunate enough to have your blower crap itself, don't know if it applys to all HM machines but some their blowers are "proprietary" and not what they appear on the outside.. So you have to pay HM's price for a blower not the lower price of the actual manufacterer to get same performance

I hope not. But Hydramaster has been so good with their support, I’m willing to slap the credit card on the purchase of whatever it takes to get the tm going again if and when a big problem like that happens.

It‘s the little thigs that the big guys do that add up to make the big difference. For example, Sapphire welds their parts together on a vibrating table to get better welds. Impressive.

Truckmount engines are generally Kohler, Briggs&Stratton Kubota etc the huge R&D cost for those engines are their costs. Not prochem SS or HM's

Pumps are Cats or General again R&D costs are theirs not the big 3

Blowers.. pretty much same story

Heat exchangers are the least efficient way and most performance robbing way of heating water but still used.

I challenge anyone to tell the difference at the wand (the only place it matters) between any well designed unit

I was just impressed by the introductory video

Keep in mind that I said I’d CONSIDER it

looking at Blue Baron vid I was "pretty impressed" with the TM
Not so his delivery and presentation but looked like a pretty well thought out unit

Here's something I've observed over the years
most smallville independent builders can make a good TM with 36 blower .
Some can get a can get a 45 right
get to 47s and up more problems start to manifest .
and when you get to #5 blowers that's where you separate the men from the boys and need real engineers and rocket surgeons

We had far far more problems with our Judson than this 370

The heater was always plugging up..

The blower belts failed left and right

The water box over flowed often

Nut and bolts would magically appear on the deck

I remember Cu calling his 370 a toy compared to his tnt...lol...no way.

I have your c4 and it's great except for the engine oil leak. No other issues. Replaced belts once. They were a little loose. 3 Judson's now and almost never a problem. And I have to admit we are pretty lame on maintenance except oil changes.

Curious, how many hours of labor did it take for the trained technician to change out your almost new overheated water pump on the ss370?
