you assume a lot.
I am a salesman's dream when it comes to cc tools. Usually they pay off quick and profit. Admitting I would have not closed the deal until they sold me one.Ok...I hope whoever sold him a "stepson" gave him a good deal
or it went to charity
Only if you’re targeting the wrong market.until a better price with same or better service comes their way.
carpet cleaners are considered a commodity. very few consumers value you. We all have those few that value you….we also all have the many that think of us as just another commodity carpet cleaner.
#THIS…Only if you’re targeting the wrong market.
Yes, sir; no matter how many five stars reviews we get or how many little things we do for the customers, we're just that, another commodity. Sure, there are exceptions to every rule, and I won't argue about the retention rate. I guess, as O/O, we have to pay close attention to acquisition cost and retention rate and keep spreadsheets on every damn thing, and even then, numbers will vary every month because that's what business does, moves like a giant wave. We keep tabs on our goals, comparing ROI quarterly for the last five years and setting new goals, and coming up with the latest business ideas to measure up to the competition. I've learned to deal with all of the coming pressure my way; price shoppers are at the end of my to-do list, and so are the inpatient " I need your services right now" callers. You can have superb customer service; you can communicate all the essential information to the customer and still deal with twisted facts afterward, for example, differences in estimated price, pets' presence, room count and room sizes, etc. Everyone has a different solution to these problems. I focus, no matter what, on a group of customers that know what they want to clean in their homes, are upfront about the condition of their surfaces, and genuinely want the best outcome of the cleaning. They accept the price and know they must wait a few days for their appointment. This type of customer can be found in all demographic groups, backgrounds, and budgets. I put this type of customer into a category of " Common sense people" These people expect exemplary services but have no problem outvaluing hours spent in their homes.until a better price with same or better service comes their way.

There is nothing better than yoga pants.
We need to develop yoga pants for carpet cleaners. No false advertising. There is nothing better than yoga pants.

Pine wood derby style with 3 pucks only if its jammed in the corner.Mist and vacuum? Styro blocks? How do you balance the mirror's weight while moving the whole dresser?
Have you used 7x7 sliders from HF?
Not so much in your way.
I bet your customers love you; the question is, do they appreciate the extra effort and show it? ( $20 tip would be nice)

"Moving" and "Sliding" are 2 very different terms. Most pieces are just slightly tipped and the puck put in place with foot. It is ALL technique. This is done before hoses are brought in the house. I take at least 1/2 hour to set up, shift all furniture for the dry vac. I am hardly using any blocks or paper tabs (playing sustainable card when asked about by repeats), and I am, but really dont need em now.Interesting how you guys are able to have the energy and time to run your moving business while operating your carpet cleaning business too
How many jobs/day on average do you do?"Moving" and "Sliding" are 2 very different terms. Most pieces are just slightly tipped and the puck put in place with foot. It is ALL technique. Then I do the wide open cleaning without having to widdle around anything, its done. Time to destroy the open area with the Greenglide of choice. Honestly I think that is quicker than not. Definatley worth more, thats a fact.
3 to 4 during busy time. 2 per day when not so busy. I am starting to take Wednesdays off in July. Saturday for emergency or 5 star, usually not new work. How many jobs/day on average do you do?

No. THE rug SUCKER. Isn t dialect great for ai?sucker
Not sure if you saw on a previous post. I do not touch Christmas trees, Sentimental items, and would just have to figure out a different move in that case. This was the only move to make my life easy. Both husband and wife were there. I had coffee for 45 minutes and vacuumed for a good 2 hrs. This was discussed over coffee since 2017, we did not move that piece. It was time.View attachment 124941
you don't ask the homeowner to remove breakables from furniture you're moving???
..L.T.A.
All these new tools and gadgets…will it fit your current business model that’s already made you the best in your area and even more, will you make more money? Not sure if you saw on a previous post. Every single move I do is caculated. I am trying to play around with granite because it is so satisfying and easy. If being a Rugsucker wasnt my passion, I wouldnt do this. You cannot teach this. It can be done but I would have to see it. And if I saw it, I would be the first person to shake hands and say nice work.
I still need to learn VLM. Erik Olson is the Master I need for that. I am going to try to get to Encapalooza event, to really focus on padding. This I will want to do in the future myself. I am making some money, getting results, and correcting any browning from HWE, with the Trinity Odyssey. I love that machine and is fun to clean with. It cut my TM hours down by at least 35% Most of the time this is pre determined that the spot will re surface and then we pad. Now it will be pre determined over a friendly no rush discussion and or coffee. Coffee only if they are lonely. In this case these two people are just awesome people that we look forward to every 8 months or so.
I am gonna just listen to Erik, I cannot wait.
Just the scenario here....
MikeyP. I was actually going to ask if you can just do a mock scheduling, lol, thats why I just wanted to talk a little. I also have the manual at my nightstand with reading glasses to study it. Problem is, I have a real good problem with a lot of good things going on. Not just work.Mike I've never given you an ounce of bad advice, I don't know why you're not taking it on sending out my get your junk out of the way letter. Works every time and saves you hours a day, not to mention headaches, insurance claims and the need for those stupid sliders, I haven't touched one of those in months..

These pics do not tell the story. This house is getting me in trouble, but she is a big cheerleader and I have it nailed here.
I cant stress enough. this is not work to me.
Did you actually think I doubted you? Come on....
BTW,
would it be ok if we booked an appointment with you to see it "real"?, I was gonna ask via phone....lol. You are on it.. Dang.
I am taking on Hardwood and Granite. I am delegating 100% and will become a helper to partner that masters both or either skill. I will be cleaning carpets, and plan is to be making my money through providing a full multi surface cleaning in premium houses. I also have the man power. I am just gonna need a helper that can vacuum in the spring when I have to work sun up to sun down, now I am cruising pretty fast, but everybody is contently waiting and the phone went cold. I prayed for this and now I have it. In not looking to blow through this list. Im gonna stay busy all winter doing premium carpet cleaning riding solo. It is so easy. All these new tools and gadgets…will it fit your current business model that’s already made you the best in your area and even more, will you make more money?
