Great start to the week...good sized water loss at one of our hospitals, 2-inch main broke. Sent three of our extraction crews and equipment hauler. :icon_cool:

One those calls that comes in at an awkward time 7:15, guys are already getting ready to come in but you need them if sooner. It also upsets wife's and girls friends to carry and extra burden of children when something like this happens at this time of day. Fortunately they know it goes with the job and are able to adjust for a day.

For us, it wreck's the schedule but it's a great start to the week! :pig:

Actually some of the employees do, they called off (10) of the janitors when we got there.

They were glad to hand it over to us, lots of heavy equipment still to be moved and extracted beneath. They left smiling, happy to get back to their daily work.

Steve makes an excellent point.
Could Chavez Restoration little sister company Chavez Plumbing Manufacturing had anything to do with that? :winky:

Seriously it does.

Someone or maybe several companies in your town are doing these.

We are just fortunate that we get our fair share.

Actually it works out well because we were born for this shhtuff! :headbang:

Nooo but maybe we should!

Not much in the way of plumbers either between my competition who has the MoreFloods package and the local franchises pounding on them, there is nothing left for us but crumbs.

They had another one last night, 2-extraction trucks and 5-techs out from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Good sized loss, 45-pieces of drying equipment across two levels of a church. (Toilet tank break)

What a busy day for WDR!

Another two WDR jobs this AM, it's screwing with the scheduled work but it's sure great to have the extra work.

One of the losses is Department of Aging, a state building, the HVAC overflowed from 6th down to first floor. Not a lot of area 10x30 on each floor, but equipment will be needed to dry floor. :pig:

Not sure what's going on, maybe as Mike said Topeka is crumbling?

But I love it!

When ever you do a loss that there is a possibility of water getting in the elevator shaft be sure to check it out. Our guys are trained to be aware of this. Our job site supervisor asked about the elevator pit and they told him not to worry it shouldn't be a problem.

There was more than 2,000 gallons in there! :eekk:

All of the elevator shafts I have been in that flooded have sump pumps........But they never work. We carry 2" sump pumps on our flood trucks. Makes quick work of a lot of water.

We also carry 2-inch pumps on our water trucks, they work slick because you just use your TM vac hose, just like the flood pumpers. I think they were concerned about the distance from the elevator pit to an exit to discharge. The Flood King is on their truck so it was easy to setup, hose is on the TM reel.
