Heat that Glide!

Over a decade of Prochem Titanium use had me spoiled..
I never needed to heat up a Glide to get it on or off.

Installing anew Hole glide on the Dev 12 without it was impossible.

3 minutes with a heat gun on high moving quickly back and forth did the trick.


My concern is removing it without damaging the holes.

Btw, a chisel works better than any flat head for removing a Slot... Grind down the edge of you want to get geeky about it.

If you follow Tom’s glide install suggestions, no heat is needed, the glide just snaps into place. I heated and beat my 12 inch hole glide and couldn’t get the silly thing on. Then I followed Tom’s directions. By the way, Tom’s glide fits the best of any glide I’ve owned. It fits the wand perfectly.

OK, so I’m a wuss. I CANNOT get my new hole glide on my Devpro 12 inch wand. I’ve had the glide in boiling water, I’ve beat it with a rubber mallet, I’ve pushed and prodded, I’ve put grease on the glide and on the lips of the wand. What am I missing here?! What’s the magic to getting this...
