Less than Serious One: You couldn't possibly derail a thread to the extent some here have when a technical post somehow devolves into football stats, locker room humor, or friendly ethnic jabs (as seen above...my friends who always manage to do this know who they are )

Two jobs today Iv,e been here 5 other times, the carpet is 18 yrs old and trashed. I pretreat and extract no luck the tan carpet is still black. Well I added extra grease erase to Cobbs great pre spray and loaded the carpets with it. Then I changed my wand from 2 110=02 to 2 110 05 and went to work . The owner was very happy with the results it came clean. He had renters and was going to replace the carpets if they didn,t clean up.but they did, sorry no photos on my hello phone, but he took pictures. The second was a new cust. the carpets were dirty but not as bad. I did everything the same as usual but I could,t remove a lot of the soil, and I usually get great results. I asked the lady who was the last cleaner was and she said she was and she cleans her carpets every 3 weeks because of her dog. well I did the best I could and I was,t happy as a first time cleaner. My cleaning always does a great job , but I find the people that use Hoover home unit to clean with make my job almost impossible because of their cleaning prior to my cleaning. jz.

the temp at the fiber went up dramatically too

with 250 temp ATM, a two jet wand with 04 flow doesn't get much over 110 to the fiber .
You increased temps to the fiber by appx 40 degrees

This has been my experience with vaccuum heat and water flow....
With hx continuos water flow is limited to 6-8 flow...about 1/2 gallon per min
10-12 flow (1 GPm)needs fuel heater ...4.5 blower with 30-35 hp engine
12-14+(1 1/2 GPm) needs fuel heat...4.7 blower with 35_40 hp engine

Twice the water flow with the right equipment will be twice the cleaning.....

I am not familiar with 2 hx on these pto's.........
I would like to know how any hx can hold heat on a continual cleaning at high flow......
I am talking about using 1 1/2 GPm or 12-14 flow for 15-20 minutes wo releasing the trigger.
This is the way I clean especially on commercial.....
Maybe these hx can get close to this, I doubt it ,but I would like to see some actual tests since I haven't used hx in 10 years

we have the high heat (dual) heat exchangers on our newest Butler and even using the Zipper it smokes and whistles while it cleans. Never checked the temps at the wand though. Sure feels hot! ??

i held the both the butler and the s1200 wide open for 7 minutes each and they both held around 190-193 all the way to the end of the 7 minutes.

i believe we were at 400 psi at 150 ft i think, both units held just fine. i don't know of a scenario other than tile cleaning that would need a continuos pressure like that and the only reason i let go at 7 minutes was the temp wasn't moving at all.

It was 6 flow I think but mikey would have to confirm.

Neither unit was a complete fire breathing machine but both held respectable heat and under normal circumstances I would expect either unit to hold 220 during a normal summer day and 190 on a cold day.

Mark has shown plenty of videos showing good heat, so I don't get the discussion.

And I don't like the idea of actually paying for heat as I prefer heat exchangers and the "free" heat they produce.

In a cold scenario just do shorter keyed strokes and allow heat to build in accordance to what the machine is giving you.

Not rocket science, just learn your machine and its characteristics.
