It happened again, the dam Neptune broke again but right as I was finishing up so it was not to bad.

So now what another Goodyear, maybe not.

What is Eagle Wash? I will have to look at Interlink or Jon-Don later, need it by Tuesday.

Do you have a strain relief on your hoses? If not they will break at the fitting near the wand.

New Goodyear Neptune hose will give about 600 hours of trouble-free service, typically almost a year.

You can extend its life by using very good bend-restrictors on each end, and reversing quick coupler direction after 600 hrs (one end gets hot, the other gets flexed--even it out).

Learn to preemptively recognize (drips bubbles) when to have new ends pressed on. $5 per end at NAPA or such. Have 12" or so trimmed off to get a cleaner crimp. If the replacement crimp doesn't last as long as factory-- CHANGE shops.

It will die quickly if run very hot while coiled on a live reel, or if the outer jacket is cut, kinked, or damaged in a closing metal door. Allowing it to FREEZE while full of water also shortens its life and will almost always bring on premature "black death".

If you don't need to tie knots in your hose or do 1.200 psi pressure washing, switch to a thermoplastic. No black death, no explosions, no burning the grass. When it's time to replace a truck we typically sell the original hoses with it. You may have to go to an industrial hose supplier to find it and have to pay more per foot, but to have no issues...

True dat, Lee. Nothing kills a Neptune, or any hose, like a metal door and thresh hold "pinch".
