I seen one of these only larger at The Mall of America years ago. This is a smaller one I cleaned today.

Yep... It has a motor and spins the carpet around like a conveyer belt and you can ski all day long.

They lube the carpet with Teflon or silicone, so it should be either easy or horrible to clean.

Those things are only good for teaching people to ski badly. If you actually use your edges you'll go straight to the top and get dumped, so you have to slide your skis around flat to try to imitate skiing. Using a snowboard on one is even worse.

This one does not have a speed control so it is max speed when turned on so you have to turn it on and off and clean sections. It was not bad to clean. The lady said the cleaning made a world of difference in skiing on it. The guy that she bought it from said he use armor-all on it and she wanted me to clean and get that stuff off it and scothgaurd it up.

I was hoping it would spin nice and slow and I could just stand there and move over slowly.

just use your wand and turn it on. it'd be like using a rotary since they spin fairly fast
