Cat 290... my tm service schedule says to change piston cups every 1200 hours. One tm has 1751 hours on it. I have never done this. Does anyone do this as a maintenace practice?

I'm anal about maintenance btw

2286 hrs. on mine. Thought pump was going out last week. Would flip the pump switch off and back on and it would hold pressure for a few minutes, then drop to almost nothing. But it was the unloader valve. Replaced it in about 20 minutes.

Don't do it as a "maintenance" practice but I have rebuilt 2 of these pumps for my older Butlers. Very easy to do as long as you take your time and make sure everything is seated properly. Much cheaper than taking it to a service center plus you understand a bit better of how it works.
