It was off for almost two years with no issues what so ever.
One of you brain childs told me to yank it off when I took the chem pump off.

Tell me if I'm wrong..
If anything is to be removed from the fibers it needs a form of transportation. Lots of water is that transportation and then with high vac...it's outta there in a hurry. High heat can make it break loose but it still needs a ride out.
