Or should I say "Fensterstein" ...Brad Fenstermakers old Vortex is getting completely reworked.

Just finished the basic design of the XT style HX im going to have made, In google sketchup.

A quick rundown of what she's getting over the next 1.5 months:

Once everything is removed from the box, it is heading over to Line-X to have their XS-350 sprayed down, but not before they sandblast the aluminum and apply their etching epoxy.

New aluminum shutter doors, these roll up in their own clam shell, this will allow me to remove the $##@% door tracks.
These are also much lighter than the stock doors.

Dual round tanks, cut down to 1

Glycol HX removed from inside fresh tank, installed elsewhere in the truck. (This design leads to 20F heat loss ATW)

Buying a round Aerotech freshy tank

Already have an Aerotech vac reel & dual fresh reals, ready to be installed.

Lastly, a custom exhaust HX.

Only thing I havent decided on is how to go about a gauge panel... as 2/3 of the original gauges no longer work.

Do you plan to use an exhaust diverter for flood work?

It already has an exhaust diverter.

Mikey buried a thread that I asked you why you scraped the diesel pto you were working on? I think it was your Ford van... Was it lack of heat from the radiator...

How many miles on that engine and transmission Ashley?

How would a preheated fresh tank LOSE you 20 degrees?

ODO says 214ish, runs, shifts like a top.

The "pre-heated" tank is just the glycol HX inside the tank, so the 200+ gallons of cold water are just bleeding off the heat from the HX, Running dual zippers at 18 flow, the water gets used up way before it has a chance to "pre-heat"

i would add 1 or 2 1/2' female bungs for thermwells for temp switch on the hot end.

not sure of your heat source, however if the inlet is the 90 going in, there may be future chance of failure at the main manifold that connects all the tubes....mine did..made by john

make sure water out at top so no trapped air....or it will blow up like a footbal
