Your better off with a Drieaz rover for rug plant.. The principle of the Hydro Xtractor is it needs cushion under the carpet.. It doesn't work on CGD.. Nothing gets more water out with a cushion that the Hydro Xtractor..

Unko Chavez would say they're a more versatile tool..

No I don't have anything like that. I usually just squeegee until my arms fall off.
