At our company there was a rule made Friday. Only I or the Head Janitorial Supervisor is allowed to touch our Vortex.

They(about 4 employees) were at a commercial job and "lost vacuum". Mind you we just had a new blower installed not even two weeks ago. They packed the truck up, drove 30 mins back to the shop to get another truck. I take a look at it; the damn waste tank valve was open. They had dumped in the middle of the job and forgot to close the valve. :roll:

This is the second time this has happened. I was on the job the first time. They started to pack the truck up, I ran downstairs and outside to the truck. Started it back up, closed the damn valve and told them to start cleaning again.

LOL- the waste tank dump valve being left open is a common newbie prob, but no one ever makes that same mistake twice. Our average cleaning specialist has over 13 years experience. Last Saturday I cleaned my carpet, then went and cleaned my girlfriends carpet then stopped by her parents to clean 1 room and stairs. Took the truck back to office, came home to shower and my carpet was dry. Left my house and went to gf house and her carpet was dry. From start to finish and back only about 3 hours total and all the carpet was dry. Not bad with a butler :-)

They do drug testing. Oh the stories I could tell.

Our "seasoned veteran" has been cleaning for 15+ years; ceased up the blower on our Everest 650 twice and clogged the heat exchanger. The machine isn't even a year old yet. He ceased it by parking on a hill and the water poured in the blower. I wasn't there for any of those. Thank God for Olson's Service Manager T W for fixing that mess!! I'm beginning to learn that making a decent amount of cash and working with people with no common sense just really isn't worth it. Sometimes the birdie has to fly away from the nest on his own.

I thought a V still had decent vacuum for one wand with the waste gate open? My 405 does...

I've cleaned with my tank open a few times and never noticed until I turned it off and out came the water.

I am probably the best dressed, best looking, most professional cleaner here, and I STILL got "noticed" more after purchasing the Vortex. I do no advertising, so I can't possibly have run off at the mouth like Mikey does ... constantly ... but yet I still have customers that want to be sure I bring my "new" truck to their jobs.

My only question is to Ron. How hard is it to train a hired crew person to drive and operate your V's?

Also Ron in most states making the empl0oyee pay for anything is against labor laws. The only exception is the restaurant industry. I found out the hard weay in MI and even though I had a signed acknowledgement it was illegal.

It's not illegal until you get caught.

Depending on your business model, two techs in a V with hydrahoes doing $99 coupon jobs might not be the way to go.

The big trucks are more suited for owner ops, and big commercial cleaners.
