come on, both those parts should last years! Its not like you did a $200 job and broke a $500 piece of furniture. Amoritized you still made money today. Well not much but enough for a burger

Desperate times = Desperate measures = Brings out the McGiver in me

I was in this situation 12 years ago after I took over Dads old business at the ripe age of 17
and my heat ex busted

I took 50 bucks and went to Lows to buy:

30ft of big Copper tubing coil

15ft of radiator hose

assorted clamps

then went to a car wash and got a free 55gal barrel

Ran the radiator hose to my van engine and made a Bane/vortex style heated water tank,
I had to idle the van and waste gas while my slide-in ran, but i could make money.

I only had MAYBE 130 ATW (During summer) But I used a little more Chems and didnt miss the heat.

When my already weak pump went out due to heat a week later, I made friends at a HOTSY disty and bartered cleaning there office carpet for them repairing my pump.

These are all BDCC things to do, but I kept making money.

You have to be willing to show up with a sponge and a bucket to make sure the customer is taken care of in this business.

I also love it.

10k for 6 days work and no wdr involved, just carpets, upholstery, leather and protection.

Drove up the coast for a yearly job, about 1.5 hrs.

Came back to Port Douglas for another one for the same company.

Had a seafood lunch at a magic club on the waterfront with a couple of beers to wash it down, then a nice leisurely drive back home along the waters edge.

Have a look at Gods own country, on the way back, I noticed a storm out to sea..........

These are best viewed at full page.

When we do jobs like this, we treat them as a little holiday.

They pay very bloody well thank you very much, we do the work and enjoy the experience.

Heading down to Cardwell for a 2k job (all leather) on Wednesday, this is where cyclone Yasi smashed into this time last year.

Again, back to a favourite seafood restaurant on the beach for lunch, before a nice drive home.

Living in paradise and loving it.

How close do you live to Bethel?

Roughly 1,100 MILES north.

Same state, just follow the goat track.

Ask Al. shiteatinggrin shiteatinggrin

Forget riding this way between January and May.

Ask Al. shiteatinggrin shiteatinggrin

Even his flash Yankee waterproof riding gear didn't stop our rain soaking him.
