Interlink has a high power LED unit for about $415, it has big LED lights

JonDon has UV light for about $470

I bought a LED flashlight type one last year at Connections, small lights and it is a piece of crap so I am kind of against the LED types

any one tried either one, I want it to able to be used in daylight

There was a tread here about a week or so ago about this same subject. Larry Cobb has a UV flashlight style urine light. I think Frazier bought one, it can be used in normal light room conditions and it's only about $250-280. You'd have to check Larry's website FMI. I need to get one too and I don't like the LED Style either.

Good luck!

If you do a lot of urine work, get the best. The cost of an item is a business expense, and deductible anyway, so why not get the best.

If you only do a little urine work, a fluorescent low power one will do the job. Cost around $35.00, but can only be used in a darkened room.

One thing I would say regarding the LED UV lights.

Most of the lights utilizing many of the small 5mm LED's are using Chinese LED's.

They will fail in a short period of time !

The high-power UV LED's are made here in the U.S., and will last for thousands of hours.

I have been building them for years.

Bump

Was searching the board for the best lights. I bought the $139 from Cobb's at COnnections but it really isn't bright enough.
I want a light that WILL show the urine if its there.
Saw one at Interlink, http://www.interlinksupply.com/index.ht ... ++++++++++

Saw the ones at Cobb's

Jondon's

What about the yellow glasses? Are they needed? Would they help with a weaker light ie the one I already have?

Any others?

Agreed, Gary.
A good tool is worth the money.
What we are trying to determine is which is the best?

Do you have a preference?

Which is the best?

Definitely get the amber / yellow glasses. Not only do they protect your eyes but the glow will be much more noticable in many lighting conditions. You can get about a 20% improvement in performance for $5 or $6 dollars.

The thread was "started" 1.5 yrs ago. Bumped it for some updating as to what's available today.
Where do you buy the goggles? John? Larry? Interlink?

I got the extra pair of yellow glasses from local interlink dealer
