Jim you're a fairly intelligent above average midwit, how much heat do you think is lost in 4 in of travel?đŸ˜…

I am with Ron, but the way to know is to use a digital thermometer and do a temperature test at both points.

In your favor is the issue of less heat loss due to larger droplet size.

...and less clogging of a single o6 jet versus 4 -1.5 or 6 - 01 jets.

Is a stainless steel jet available?

Yes, "my" model will have a SS nozzle, thats be relocated to strike right behind the Glide, removal of the center pin and an inline filter, and of course your choice of GG, with a package deal on a Hole and a Slot.

Priced at $775, delivered to anywhere in the L48

$900 with two Glides.

As I'm selling wands everyday, sometimes it just leaves me scratching my head at how clueless 95% of the industry is about how flow and jetting works. Most are convinced that more jets means more water and there's nothing I can do to explain it to you people that more jets are just dividing the same amount of water... It leaves me wondering what you people actually think about while you're in the act of cleaning...
Imagine if all the carpet cleaners worldwide got rid of their wands ( multi- jet ) and purchased a miracle single wand. You'd become a billionaire.

No streaking/clashing
No over spray
No drips
Hole or Slot Glides @ instant swapping
Lightweight
Equally as effective as a multi jet, but with less water ( 4 flow)

You know, everything your PCTI isn't or doesnt
I'm glad that you mentioned streaking. I have only six jets on my wand, but somehow I see leaving eight streaking lines. I believe that's the number of the openings in the slotted Green Glide. With a proper positioning of the jets, there's no ovespray.
I'm giving you only one point- dripping. Weight shouldn't be a problem with the glided wand( I don't lift the wand, I slide it) I wish that glide would last longer, but in all fairness, quick wearing may be caused by roughness of CGD carpeting and the weight of the wand.
I consider the wand as a powerhouse and investment. I had to replace only water supply lines on two PCTI wands in 15 years.
I have no problem with a single jet wand, I can't overcome the fact that is not a low profile one.

That would be ideal, but I don't believe there is a jet that could create that wide of a spray pattern to reach the width of a 14" wand when mounted more closely to the carpet.

Try a Delran glide, they last much longer.

15 years on the same jets?
Interesting....

The fact is, I've had three of the PCTIs

True

This wand gets under beds, which is good enough for me.

It's a joy to use.

Most wands aren't.

Bridges can be re-recessed as the Glide wears down with a box knife, or Dremel if you don't want the lines.

In most cases a dry stroke makes it a non issue..

I still have my original 4 jet PCTI, which performs better than the six.

I haven't used a single jet wand in over 25 years. The company I used to work for had probably 15 different wands. Mostly the ones that would come with whichever Truckmount they purchased. The best wands back then in my opinion were the single jet units. We had 2 high quality single jets from Steamway and a Hydrahoe, both were the best wands of the 15 or so we had, cleaned better than the 11"Prochem. The big jet definitely had more impact. Pausing over a difficult spot with one of these 2 would give you a better chance at removing the spot without stopping to hand scrub a spot. I see Greenglides has a hydrahoe with a glide for sale. Not interested in the 14" but I wonder which would clean better the Chosen Wand (WP530) or the 12" Hydrahoe from Greenglides.

I have not yet tested a HH with a Glide on it, but without, I was unable to use the straight bend, which felt like it was designed by someone 5'1" tall .

Not sure if the round Glide will enable my 6'5" self to use it comfortably

I prefer an S Bend ultimately.

I'll confirm that the hydrahoe wand is designed for short people. I used one of my friend's wands several years ago for a full day when I had to borrow his machine due to mine being down and my back had a terrible ache at the end of the day. I'm 6'5" tall

I sold my Hydrahoe with the glide you sent me unfortunately. I let it go with an old truck mount I was selling but I did use it a few times and the glide made it work extremely well. There is something to be said about having a single large jet but I still prefer my s-bend wands. Either the chosen wand or a low profile AW29. Twin #3 jets works just fine.

I didn't want to go to a small details, jets needed to be replaced quite often, no doubt.

With PCTI is about love-hate relationship.

Thanks for the tip on Delran, I'm familiar with the brand, not much about the supplier.

I don't have a new glide to compare to, but you get an idea; I beat hell out of it.

This is a fantastic wand.

  1. Affordable
  2. 14"/1.5"
  3. One unplugable, drip and streak free nozzle, with no over spray
  4. Internal-easy peasy swap out- fit Glides
  5. Excellent extraction and drying
  6. Very maneuverable and a joy to use!

Needs a few tweaks to make it nearly perfect.

Really it's only drawback is its head height but with the shoulderless, triangle-shaped head it gets under more things than you'd think and for larger areas in most cases the furniture is not going to be an issue, where you would want to use a 14 inch wand..

Is there any wand more simple than this?

Wands have "evolved" really stoopidly...

600 99% of the time
700 on trashed

Since doing a overhaul on the volcanic heat Milton 1 Hurricane tm eliminating air leaks, air flow has increase to category 3. 600-700 psi is easily handled.
