Sounds to me like you do have a dog in the fight, otherwise why would get so worked up? The only barbs I am throwing are at people that think that there is nothing wrong with stealing other people's intellectual property and claiming it is just business. If you think that is ok, you probably own a bonzer

Welp better check your hearing aide.... no dog.. in fact I have a zipper, almost 2 years now... I wouldnt touch the bonzer with never mind ill get in trouble... And what the Mytee employee did was completely out of line... as to what John did or didnt do in regards to stroking Erik I have no idea..... With that said.. Mytees "knock off" isnt in the realm of the zipper... remember I have one... but with some more tweaks, does have a place... just like all the fooking rotaries out there have a place with different owners. Take the Hoss, I demoed it, nice enough tool, but didnt fit my work structure... Where as the 360I for me does... For residential... For commercial I have a Cimex, RX, AND Zipper.. and all 3 work together and individually.. Just like wands... not every BDCC out there can or wants to afford 1 of Toms, and those who want to buy a Dang knock off shouldnt be roasted... My issue is when people sit back on their high and mighty attitudes and continue to stir the pot about shit that really doesnt pertain to them anyway... and then others choose to jump on the train and talk out their ass, such as the few who bashed them for not having water... Well they did, so now what to say to that??

And ANYONE who has met and talked to me knows, I dont play the bull shit game, and I will call it as I see it..

Speaking of which.... WTF is wrong with this site and how fast it loads??? DAmn I feel like i am back 15 yrs ago waiting on my dial up to bring pics up

I've bought 4 Zippers from Erik around 10k invested in what feel is a superior tool. I am verbal because he is the little guy getting stomped on by the big guys with deep pockets.

Its not right, no matter how you care to rationalize it. Its just not right!

Improve the design and you move the industry forward. Build a cheap knockoff and you're just trying to capitalize off someone elses work.

Do it in the name of "those that can't afford the real thing" and you're a real scumbag lining your own pockets. :errf:

If we are bashing anyone because they didn't have water, that is because that is what was reported and it sounds pretty moronic to have people feeling the carpet and saying how dry it was when it never got wet. Now if that was false as it seems to be, I, personally will apologize to anyone who thinks they were offended. Still doesn't change what I think of the people who are trying to copy and infringe someone else's patented idea. No, it doesn't really make any real difference to me, except it tells me something about the character of the company that is doing it. Especially, when those companies have good products of their own, it seems ridiculous to have to copy others. I don't get it. In these days of instant communication, you have to guard your reputation. I personally know of some cleaners and I am sure that some on this board have changed their purchasing decisions because of the debates on these copy cat tools.

I responded to Larry but my observation from FB of a live video demonstration was true... no water and guys feeling the carpet after. I think there was a problem with the portable they were using... ask Larry.
Not sure what McCoy was going on about so didn't respond to it. I also like Star Trek so thought it best to beam out of the thread.

Looking at it... it no where near is a zipper knock off... just cuz it has wheels and a handle held by a magnet, does not push it to the zipper zone. As some one noted on FB, it looks closer to a stryker knock off then anything....And to your point of the other companies doing it.... I think they are hitting to a lower end custy anyway.... If anything knock off wise.. bonzer is closer to it then this is.. The vac slots are like this |w| so vac, water bar vac all with in like a 3-4" space. No real chamber like on the zipper...

I didnt see the videos because i was there, but yea, if i saw some moron do that i woulda ask him wth are you doing???

The problem with the machine was that the bypass i guess it is, was turned to bypass....

So the pump was running, but no psi showed, so i was like wth is going on (stupid porty was out smarting me) so i fiddled around a little more, and yea the bypass or prime valve was open, so it was just looping through....

Doug I was at Mikeyfest in Aptos when Erik told me Cu had one of his Zippers at John's. You really think they didn't attempt to copy the Zipper?

Cobb keeps comparing it to the Zipper. The drunken Mytee employee was razzing Erik about selling more knockoffs than the Zippers.

If you truly believe it isn't a cheap knock off, you might be the only person that believes it.

Is this an inappropriate time/place to mention Seal Canvas Products new Seal-A-Door Storage pouch? ($48.50 plus $9.75 USPS Priority Mail)

That depends. Were you at ICE? And is your product a knock off? Or has been knocked off?
I have to be honest....yes, I was at ICE, and it was good exposure for our featured products, primarily because Erik allowed me to share a booth with him, and the Zipper Wand was a terrific traffic attracter! And....yes....there have been pouches made before...in fact we make about 20 different pouches ourselves., so....I guess we are a "knock-off" of ourselves...sort of...
