We do a weekly ‘purge’.
As we do a lot of different flooring, upholstery, and commercial work, there is a need to keep ‘the canvas fresh’.
Just finished this process, and are now ready for weekend commercial work….
I clean both the exterior (daily), and the interior (weekly).
It takes but 10-15 minutes at the end of each day.
We are about to embark on an extremely busy spring commercial season, and there is no choice but to be ready for whatever comes our way.

Sometimes during mid day jobs on a day when I’m swamped with work. I just throw my stuff back in at the end of the job to get over to the next job. But on a slow day or Saturday, I’ll put everything back where it needs to be
It’s called survival of the fittest.
But on serious note…it’s stupid to put a big water tank in a little express van when they hook up to the client’s water 90% of all jobs anyway. So pull out that big anchor and have some extra room

My issues won't let me be that unorganized and cluttered. I hate digging for tools but I do have a stack of hoses in the back that could go on hose reels but this is easier right now.
I let things get dirty until I feel energetic enough to clean it. I could do better but I'm tired and sore.

It’ll come as no surprise to anyone here that I think you two morons are wrong concerning on board water. I’m not surprised by anything Mat thinks and Mikey can’t remember actually cleaning for a living anymore.
You have a full day of work, (3-5) jobs
How are you gonna carry that much water with you?
Is the water poor quality? I currently filter it with the house type filter on the truck
Is the water too hard? Get a water softening filter in line and mount it on the wall of the van/truck. How do you think window cleaning companies get their water softened to prevent spots on the glass? Do they carry enormous amounts of water with them?
My main rig has a 100gallon tank and my spare doesn’t carry water. I never miss my tank when I’m driving the spare

If your “facts” are accurate, then you’re giving up 10 out of every 100 jobs not carrying water. For my business, that would cost me, on average, $2250.

It’s a way to choose my customer base. The average customer that doesn’t have water access, well, might not be the most profitable customer out there.

nope. but it was about 2 years old at the time. Its now 6 years old and looks pretty much the same except there are water marks on the Water Pond I cant get completely out. I will take a picture of it tomorrow all loaded when I get home from work

I don’t get how you don’t carry water. Commercial, residential, even cimex or padding. I use the water from my truckmount on every occasion. If I’m encapping, I fill buckets from it. Saves a ton of time. I hate looking for water!

that plus you know what kind of water your working with. If I had to use water from a local town, I KNOW they have very hard water. Or a house out in the country with untreated well water on their outside faucet (dont ask how I know)

There is NO WAY, ON GODS GREEN EARTH, that you run a van that clean.
And if you do, either you do no jobs during a day, or, you you are WAY more neurotic than me.
We run 5-7 days a week. It’s impossible to keep the van that Clean and new.
Try running 6-7 days a week, 8-16 hours….
Then post an ACTUAL picture.
We clean topically daily, and deep clean weekly…

Ain’t no way a busy rig is THAT clean.
I actually use the waterpond alot. Over 70% of the jobs i do are on wells. pressures sometimes to low and summer there's water shortage. I mostly use it for low pressure . My machine has a low pressure safety switch that disconnects the pump clutch if the incoming water pressure is to low. When this happens i switch to the on board water system. My system is set up so as when i push a button to turn the pump on the system automatically reconfigures and the live reel that normally feeds customers water to the machine is on a 3way motorized ball valve. When the pump is turned on the ball valve automatically redirects water to the waterpond fill and a 2 way motorized ball valve opens up and allows the waterponds pump to supply the machine and when i push the button to shut the pump off, the system resets itself . There is a oversized check valve on the live reel side so if i use the waterpond without the live reel hooked up water doesn’t back flow into the van.( yes i know a 1" check valve is overly large. These valves are the best and have a low .5psi crack pressure, i got the 1" new on ebay for 50% of what it would have cost me for a 1/2 valve) originally i used 2 rv check valves inplace of the 1" but the crack pressure was 5-7psi and didn't really work well
