I've have been wondering this lately because I've been hearing alot of "wow you guys are fast" I tell them that the job would take twice as long if I was alone, but running with two guys is really efficient. Alot of my customers are used to me working by myself and the time it took in the past and now it takes half.

We can move more furniture, spend more time on spots, and I think we do a better job. At first I thought his dry passes were a little fast so I cleaned half and half(ti wand & 50' of 2.5) with him on my parents house and it dried in the same amount of time. The best thing about having him is I'm also half as tired at the end of the day. shiteatinggrin

I've thought about slowing him down with a newbe helper and me running by myself..

3pm(long drive)-1BR rental and another 1BR rental 2 blocks from the first...

I built my business on FLYERS, though I have tried alot of things that didn't work for me like: 3 years of 3 half page ads in the phone book, Valpac ads, ad's in the paper, ect.ect. This year I'm going to try yard signs(100 of them for $600), though I will continue my flyers..

A good website will bring you business also. I have Fred working on mine... !gotcha!

 You must be hauling butt on those jobs.

I wouldn't be done with that 9 am job till around 12 and that is with a helper.

That sounds like our pace, we do get the "wow you guys are quick" thing sometimes but I think WE percieve it as a negative, not so much our customers, theyre probably thrilled to have us out of there...

Speaking with Jen, she likes it better when the job is done quickly (shut up Bawb).

She had carpet cleaners before me that took forever and her entire day.

She loved me because I was quick efficient and did a great job.

If you're going to have a helper, you had better do enough work to pay for him/her. So it all makes sense to me.

As long as you're doing a great job, the customer usually understands.

Generally it's nice to catch them at the half and half of a room to show the difference. Then they get it.
