This was at Pembertons this past friday. Rick is a hoot, and Jim is always a pleasure to be around. Lee Pemberton was also there, raffelling off the give aways.

Marty, they are nearly identical wands, one has jet extenders and typically runs at a lower psi, the other does not have jet extenders yet and their for is not streaking at that pressure.

Yep, I completely understand. I took my jet extenders off for that exact reason.
what wand you running with your cleanco?
I was thinking about stepping up to a prochem ti now that i have a machine that can run it.

I use the ProChem Ti, but my son always brings the Greenhorn when he's with me. Both are good wands. He just likes the Greenhorn (CMP) because it's shorter. I like the Ti, because I'm tall and it fits my height better, but the Ti is too light. I like the Greenhorn because it is heavier and rides the carpet better.

I can use either wand, but I keep the Ti on my van because the boy likes the Greenbean wand.

my one with the jet extenders is a green horn (west pac)

the other wand is just the new version of the same wand.

A true dual wand machine would have independent pressure regulators. The streaking wand should be turned down a bit.
Separate pressure regulators in order for it to be a true dual wand? I don't think so.

If you want to turn one of the wands down, turn down the shut-off valve on the steam line going to the wand just a little bit.

Problem solved.

you guys understand that they were just flowing water to see the suction, and heat on the machine right?

That would limit flow, with varying results.

Pressure would be the same.
That would limit both flow and pressure and is adjustable way down. Have you run dual wands a lot and found the need for separate pressure regulators?

I have used this setup occasionally of throttling down by using that valve and it works quite well.

All I'm saying is I dual wand every day and have been doing so for over 25 years. I can see no need for separate regulators for our needs.

Put a pressure gauge on the end of the line. Pressure will be the same at the beginning of each stroke.

Yes it "works" but not ideal. If a mfg touts true dual wand operations, each line would have a regulator and gauge.
