John sent me a video clip of himself using the Shark.

Meg has failed horribly in feminizing him.

John, you vacuum like a man, slow down on the back pull, that's when most of the dirt comes dirt comes out, just like your carpet wand.
Also hit the area in front of the sofa from two directions, north and south and east and west.
Work it like you love it long long time

Mrs Piftleton is watching you.

Bought one of these Shark professionals. It picks up quite well. Compared 2 pushing the Dyson 65 it's a bear. Not a big deal if you're using it once or twice a week but if you're using it 3 or 4 times a day I'd much rather push the Dyson. Even though the Dyson is not self-propelled it doesn't feel like it and it is incredibly easy to maneuver and push around. The shark 4 the price isn't that bad. I think if I had to do it over I would go with the more expensive Rotator model for about 75 bucks more which was on sale at Costco for 200. The Rotator seems a great deal easier to push and has the same size large dirt cup.

The Rotator Lift Away is much easier to use. We bought one of the Shark XL capacity vacs at Sam's Club. My wife stopped using it because she hated it and would get the Roatator Lift Away Pro out of my Carpet Van. We cleaned up the XL and returned it to Sam's. She now has the Shark Powered Lift Away which I actually took to a job last week. Very clean house, no pet's and she wanted me to vacuum under a big king size assembly that could not be moved.

That's just stupid.
I've got three different bagged vacuums. One is a Kirby and one is a Royal. Just as much junk gets in the air when you disengage the bag as it does when you flip the lid.
Yeah, I know it does. I just wanted to talk some trash, lol.

You're supposed to put in a NEW bag. Not empty out the old one.

Naw, I dump the bag out and bang it a few times. Get five or more bagloads before they wear out.

As for the dust, anyone who ever grilled knows how to stand where you don't attract smoke or when shaking bags, the dust.

My Panasonic commercial vac bags have a rubber seal that keeps the dirt in when changing bags. My Miele has a flip insert that closes when you remove the bag. You can kick it down the stairs with out losing a grain of dust. To empty the Shark, you have to remove the dust trap and open the bottom and the top lids and shake the shit out. Dust flying everywhere, then you have to put your hand inside and pull out the shit that didn't come out with the shaking. Then you put the still dirty dust cup back on the machine and back to work. Give me an old bag anytime.

We carry a bucket, empty outside but ya it's more of a mess then a bag.

Still love seeing the dirt fill the canister

Yes but these bag less vacs have filters that need to be beaten the crap out of too and that sucks.

And in the end it really depends on the brush roll on how well it sweeps the rug

And sweeping the carpet is regular maintenance done by homeowners or custodians. I'm there to "clean" the carpet not vacuuming.

So I take that to mean you don't pre vacuum?

You are trusting the home owner or custodian to properly maintain and use the vacuum?

I get more out than just a vacuum will. I follow Genny a LOT and she or Tina vacs very good with clean filters on every job. And I still dig a football size pile of crud out of the carpet.

So no I don't waste my time prevaccing.

We have two filters on our most used vac. A foam one and felt one. After every job they get beaten clean. If we don't it doesn't work as well, especially when just using the hose for cobwebs and such.

And no I don't trust anyone to vacuum. I spent more time prescrubbing with the crb if I need to.

But, you don't prescrub so which is worse? Why?

I'm wowing customers without vaccing.
