I will be using this as a 3rd truck but mostly directing its use as the flood truck. I'm going to upgrade it to high flow and the upgraded valve and the silencer over the muffler but the questions are should I go ahead and upgrade the btu or is it hot with the stock burner? Any advantages to upgrading other than more heat?

Also what do they charge to install audit into a small box truck?

Ian asking here because I figure they are closed for the holidays and I just prepping to pull the trigger mid jan. indeed to find a diesel box truck first

Thanks for any and all advise and direction
Dave

we have a c4 and a tnt
get the number 4 heater for sure
as far as cleaning and drying times there is no noticeable difference in the 2 machines
for the money i would go with the tnt
going with a diesel when both of these units are gas?
if i was to buy a new one tomm i would go with the tnt for sure
i use the tnt and my tech uses the c4 both had held up wellc4 has 2800 hrs on it
let me down once in 4.5 yrs i think the coils in the motor went out other then that its been reliable

A flood truck/backup is probably not gonna see too much action so I'd stick with gas. Diesels tend to break when they sit.

I ask that question one time and got this logical aanswer you can replace a gas
motor for what it cost sometimes to replace a diesel fuel pump
plus with this new emissions on 04 and later diesel called egr crap
lots of things that can go wrong would do some more home work

Good points. That's just why I posted this up
Thanks!!

The truck will only sit 2 days a week max. We are ready for a 3rd as we work the guys to hell and back lol

So spreading things out a little and adding floods will keep her busy I'm sure

Hard to drop 65k on a flood/back up truck. I love them with everything in me but to achieve getting the 3rd truck on the road I have to be smart and if putting a awesome 20k unit in a used truck that's in great shape gets me there than that's the plan.
