Looking into buying my first kicker, mainly for small stuffs like refastening pulled corners and such.

Any brand/model/features more newbie friendly than others, or all they all the same?

If you plan on doing it a lot, spend the coin and get the name brand stuff. Dial depth teeth dig deeper into the pile.

Check the local Craigslist first. You might pickup tools cheap if an installer is getting out of the game.

Or call around to the Pawnshops if you're afraid of the Craigslist killer. :winky:

I wouldn't waste my time, money, nor especially my knees.

Get a TriForce.

Sure, it's a bit bigger, but so much more versatile in what you can achieve.

That Tri Force is amazing, but for what he is wanting the kicker for its a bit much. He just wants to be able to quickly re attach carpet if it was pulled up for inspections and what not.
But.....it would be a good idea to have one of those as well and start adding stretching into the mix.
Grab a Kool Glide and some other small tools and you can rock out the repairs.

I'm due for two knee replacements.

Wish I could of had the TriForce a few decades back.

I think it's reasonably priced for what you can do.

Agree with the rest of your post, just wish my Kool Glide was 240 volt & I didn't need to carry a big, bloody heavy tranny around on a trolley.

Well, you started it. :icon_rolleyes:

He's a white, square, Kool dude, with a black strip down the middle of his upper part.

Really puts the weights on those that attempt to pick him up.

When he gets turned on, he hums along quietly, expelling warm air at a constant rate.

Although he has one male connection, he is so versatile with TWO female orifices.

When it's all over & his plug is pulled, he goes quiet, but is still warm all over.

Never gets wet nor breaks into a sweat.

His actions are constant from start to finish, no sporadic impulses nor jerky movements from this little tranny.

I like to keep him in an aerated milk crate so that he doesn't get carpet burns on his tender lower parts. :arrrr:

This is also on wheels because he likes to be rolled whenever we go out together.

I think that's about for him, now it's time to be put back into the closet where he belongs and is safe from harm.

Anyone ever use a Kneeless Carpet Stretcher?

http://www.kneeless.com/
I haven't, but as a stretching tool, I would say no on that one. As a kicker or "positioning tool", maybe.
I don't carry a kicker anymore.
The Tri-force is what I use instead. And like Kelly said, it is good for stretching too. And a lot faster than a pole stretcher.

I had thought about the kneeless kicker a while back, but like Charlie said, it is a glorified kicker and there is no way I would pay that much money for a knee kicker.

Crain, Roberts, are probably the best type of knee kickers available. I'd recommend adjustable with the best knee pad available. I did notice the Harbor Freight carpet stretcher...... We have one! Great for stretching stairs!
