Mark Saiger
Mr Happy!
I am not making this post to be gross....and apologize,
But wanted to make the post in an attempt to help educate with this type of situation, and what procedure we took to clean up....
First of all...protect yourself....
We also tell people who call and are embarrassed about situations such as this (even though this is extreme) that we get this call quite often, and we will get it all taken care of...No Problem!
There is something to be said about getting this done, and allowing them to start healing.
This is a case of alcohol abuse...nicest person in the world, just fighting the alcohol demons....and this is the third visit for situations of varied nature in the past Year and a half....
So with that, here is the procedure we used IN THIS PARTICULAR SITUATION (and there can be many variables) to remedy this.
The situation was a lot on Top of the Surfaces (carpet and upholstery and bedding) or we would maybe recommend replacement in more difficult to fix situations.
For this one, we used CTI''s OSR in bucket, pour on let dwell little bit, water claw, OSR treat again and let dwell and oxidize for 15 minutes or so while doing other work... Sometimes we will also try to wand and rinse off more of the mass...it is a judgment call really....
Water claw again well and then we applied Harvard Pet Stainoff enzyme.. Smells like Bubble gum, and clean from there.
Peroxide such as Bridgepoint Stain zone if needed on any remaining stain and leave to work.
Wish the clients the best and health and well being for their future....it does seem to give them the feeling that you care (and we are sincere about caring)
Sorry again for the pics, but just wanted to show what you might run into...
This was our last job before the Christmas break...made us think a lot....and be thankful.
