I don't disagree. I just see national franchises with new clean vehicles but my dog does a better job of cleaning...his balls.

Drive around nice neighborhoods and check out the trades vehicles, you will be surprised at the number of old beat up vehicles in front of luxurious homes. Not to say you shouldn't have a nice new van but your image is more than just a vehicle.

Those are contractors, we are cleaners. There is a bit of a difference. I can't tell you how many times clients have come out to check out the van. Doesn't need to be new but clean and rust taken care of. Optics do matter. I think there's a chapter about presentation in the iicrc manual . Helps project professionalism in our industry.
