Looking to make some stainless steel wands of my own

Dose anybody sell just the wand heads and or other stainless steal wand building material? And is there generic heads that can be bought , built onto wands and resold?

To practice welding SS with a purpose?
To modify/improve an existing design?
To save money?


Tony Dang at Cal Tools in SoCal would probably sell you something, I highly doubt , PMF, Westpak or CMP would.

Regardless how can people who make what is essentially a tube and a triangular head justify charging $750 -$1800 for a wand? There is no high technology and although swivels have been around for 30 years on janitorial tools like vacuum wands it's " NEW". And if they designed a wand correctly they wouldn't need a high priced piece of plastic to help it glide.

Low bypass turbofans, with afterburners, something to kick up a little dust and break a few windows.

Well, gotta start with a MIG welder, full atmosphere of argon, if over 1/2” thick, gotta add a touch of helium..,. 25% Otta do it..... the helium allows for hotter weld, thus getting better penetration..... or, just have Boeing do it for ya.... just chuck ‘em 250mil for R&D, they’ll build anything you want......

I swapped out an overly extended 6" long vac tube to a regular length tube on my Devastator today.

Installed a new Thermo Valve on the 370 HX, replaced a goofy solenoid that's been acting up and loaded up the van for a two day grout repair job starting tomorrow.



That's enough manliness for me.
