Just booked a job from the grandson of a long time time customer who passed away.
I've had so many pass over the years. Last time I was there I was worried she wasn't going to be around much longer.
It's getting easier to see the signs. As soon as he gave me the address I knew who it was and was able to share some personal things I knew.

Do you talk about personal things to customers in these situations or do you keep it more professional? I've done both and when I don't sometimes I feel like I should be more personal.

Depends on how well I know them. Sometimes they don't want to hear anything sometimes they do.

It's funny too, so many times I start thinking about customers I get a call from them. I wonder if I sense them thinking about me.

I've even told Genny about people and they call sometimes same day I'm telling her about them.

I had to tell Mrs. Coastie that Dorothy (her friend of 39 years) died Saturday, in a California nursing home.

She had the pink blanket we sent for Christmas, but her son donated it to the home. That is good.
